There must be a law to prevent forced religious conversions: GS Shekhawat
Jodhpur: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat supported Rajasthan’s proposed law on forced religious conversions, stating such a law is essential. Addressing media in Jodhpur, he dismissed Congress’s EVM allegations, comparing them to “a frustrated cat scratching a pole.” He emphasised that Congress’s ideology and leadership are rejected by the public.
On the upcoming Kumbh Mela 2025, Shekhawat highlighted it as world’s largest human gathering, with 450 million expected attendees. He outlined efforts by the Culture Ministry and UP govt to enhance visitor experience.
He also congratulated BSF on its 60th Raising Day, praising its border security role, contributions in the 1971 war and Kargil conflict, and its unique operations across water, land, and air.
