The release date of Shahid Kapoor’s Farzi revealed! Heading for early 2023 premiere

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shahid Kapoor has always been a formidable actor in the Hindi film industry. With him pushing his acting boundaries over the years, the star has brought forward some of the most amazing projects that fans still cannot get enough of. Currently, he is gearing up for his OTT debut with Raj and DK’s next, Farzi. The directorial duo who is fresh off the success of their web series, The Family Man, have kept the details about their upcoming project under wraps. All that is known about the project is its talented cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna and Kay Kay Menon and its genre which is a crime thriller.

According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the film is all set to release in the month of February, next year. A source close to the development revealed, “Shahid Kapoor’s digital debut will happen in February 2023. The release plan is being chalked out at the moment, but Farzi is all set to be out for audience viewing before the closure of the first quarter of 2023.” The source further added that the marketing and trailer launch will be done a month prior to its release.

The film was recently announced by the makers at an event where Shahid Kapoor spoke about debuting on OTT. “It's so different from what we do in movies. I am nervous but excited. I always wanted to do something challenging and different. This story and character to me match every film that I have done. I can't wait for the audience to see it,” he said.

Other than Farzi, Shahid has become a busy man with several projects lined up for the upcoming year. While he is currently busy shooting for Dinesh Vijan’s rom-com with Kriti Sanon which is scheduled for a late 2023 release, he also has Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bloody Daddy. He will also be seen in Anees Bazmee’s next comedy which will go on floors earlier in March.
