The Grand Old Party’s ‘One man, One Post’ formula, but with conditions applied!

New Delhi: Congress party’s ‘One-man-onepost’ formula seems to be ignored as the Party President Mallikarjun Kharge would continue as Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha. The party has not yet decided on his replacement in the Parliament and Kharge would continue to hold both the responsibilities. Questions are being raised whether the formula was for Rajasthan only because it has already been implemented in the cases of Govind Singh Dotasra, Raghu Sharma and Harish Chaudhary. It was also in discussion when Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was in the race for Party President’s post in September, but outside Rajasthan, the formula appears to be sidelined. The Congress implemented ‘One Man One Post’ rule at the AICC and state level after the party’s ‘Nav Sankalp Chintan Shivir’ held in Udaipur in May, wherein, the person with dual or more charges will be given one assignment at a time.
