Tara Sutaria on nepotism: non-film industry parents bring sanity and normalcy to life

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Actress Tara Sutaria made her grand Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2 alongside Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday and she has not looked back ever since. She has starred in an array of films and worked with some established names as well. Tara Sutaria is one such young star that entered Bollywood during the storm of the nepotism debate. The actress is now gearing up for another upcoming release ‘Ek Villain Returns’ along with Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham and Disha Patani.

Talking to Hello Magazine recently, Tara opened up on the nepotism debate and further spoke about her non-film background. The Marjaavaan actress stated that although the nepotism debate has been going on for a while now, she is glad to have worked with hardworking, grounded people who are not bothered by their status or family name. Speaking about her family, she said, “It’s nice to come back home and talk to my mum and dad as they are not from a film background. They present a semblance of normalcy in my life that keeps me sane and happy.”

Ek Villain Returns is the spiritual sequel of the 2014 hit film by Mohit Suri, Ek Villain starring Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. The film is slated to be released in the theatres on July 29, 2022.
