Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasmah Team issue an apology for mentioning the wrong release year of ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasmah has been Indian television’s one of the longest-running shows. The show has been running for 14 years and has made everyone laugh with their jokes and cry with their emotions. But the show recently faced backlash after it made the silly mistake of mentioning the wrong year of a song release.

In a recent episode, the members of Gokuldham Society had a two-episode long musical night. As the party was coming to an end, the members mentioned the last song, ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’, sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Right then, Bapuji spoke about the details of the song and wrongfully mentioned the year 1965 as the release year of the song.

The makers took to Twitter to make an apology from the official TMKOC account. “We would like to correct ourselves. The song was released on 26th Jan, 1963. We promise to be mindful in the future”, the apology read. It was signed by Asit Modi and Team.

Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon is one of the most legendary songs sung by Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. The singer passed away on February 6, 2022, due to ill health.
