Swara Bhasker calls out Gautam Gambhir over his “secular liberals" comments

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and ex-BJP leader Naveen Jindal have erupted a storm in the country after their controversial remarks over Prophet Mohammed. Not only are Muslims in India protesting her arrest, but dozens of Gulf nations have also conveyed their dismay over the comments. In this storm, ex-cricketer Gautam Gambhir has chosen his side and spoken in favour of Sharma.

Gambhir tweeted on his social media, “Silence of so-called ‘secular liberals’ on the sickening display of hatred & death threats throughout the country against a woman who has apologised is surely DEAFENING! #LetsTolerateIntolerance.”

To this, the young BJP politician has received flak from Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker who has never shied away from sharing her thoughts and opinions. The actress shared a photo of Gambhir’s tweet and wrote, “Inko bulldozers ki aawaaz nahin sunai pad rahi lekin!”

Gautam Gambhir joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019 and has been a vocal supporter of their causes. On the other hand, Swara Bhasker has publicly criticized the government for creating a toxic environment filled with hatred.
