STF has arrested two members of burgling gang who looted several with counterfeit notes and five members of two inter-state drug peddling gang in different raids. STF sources here said the STF team arrested Govind Nishad and Ganesh Nishad who burgled several persons on the pretext of doubling their money.
During interrogation, arrested accused told the police that they convinced victims that they had a magic mirror that can produce real money. They had looted huge money using this trick. Meanwhile, in another raid, the STF team arrested Deepak Kumar and Rahul Prasad with 1.15 quintal hemp near Toll Plaza on the VaranasiGorakhpur highway.
They were smuggling hemp from Odisha to several districts of Uttar Pradesh. Also, police recovered 87-kilogram hemp from three members of an inter-state drug peddling gang’s possession. The arrested accused were identified as Gaya Prasad, Pappu, and Raju Jain and they were also smuggling hemp from Odisha to UP and other states.
