Sr NTR’s youngest daughter found hanging in her home in Hyderabad

Hyderabad (Telangana): Kanthamaneni Uma Maheswari, the youngest daughter of actor, filmmaker and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sr N. T. Rama Rao passed away on Monday in Hyderabad. Police confirmed that she allegedly committed suicide at her home in the afternoon. Although the exact reason behind the suicide is unknown, Police believe that her health issues may be a primary cause.

Dikshitha, the daughter of the deceased informed that at noon, Uma Maheshwari went to her room and did not come out for a long time. The police were alerted at half past two in the afternoon and then arrived at her residence in Jubilee Hills to find Uma hanging from the ceiling fan. It was reported that four people were present in the house at the time the incident took place.

Police have investigated a suicide case at the Jubilee Hills police station in the city in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Police to enquire and report on suicide, etc.).

Many celebrities including N Chandrababu Naidu and her nephew and actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram rushed to Uma Maheshwari’s house after hearing the news. Sr NTR had 12 children among whom, Uma was the youngest daughter among the four daughters. RRR famed actor, Jr NTR who is the biological brother of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is also the nephew of Uma Maheshwari. She is survived by her two daughters.
