Sonam Kapoor shares a photo of her son along with the announcement of his name and its meaning

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja gave delightful news to their fans and netizens when they announced the arrival of their son with a cute little post. The sentiment was shared by their family and friends who also blessed the newborn baby with love. Now, the couple has shared the official photo with their son and also revealed his name along with the Sanskrit meaning behind it.

The trio looked beautiful in similarly yellow attires and posed cosily for the shutters. While Sonam wore an Anarkali with a neatly tied bun and gajra, Anand wore a yellow kurta and wrapped their baby in a yellow cloth. As the actor lovingly peeked over the baby who was in her husband’s arms, Anand kissed Sonam’s cheeks. The pair revealed their baby’s name to be Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. She wrote, “In the spirit of the force that has breathed new meaning into our lives...In the spirit of Hanuman and Bheem who embody immense courage and strength...In the spirit of all that is sacred, life-giving and eternally ours, we seek blessings for our son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.”

Explaining the meaning of the name in the Hindu scriptures, Sonam wrote, “In Hindu scriptures, Vayu is one of the paanch tatvas. He is the deity of breath, the spiritual father of Hanuman, Bheem and Madhav and He is the incredibly powerful lord of wind. Praana is Vayu, a guiding force of life and intelligence in the universe. All the deity's of Praana, Indra, Shiva and Kali relate to Vayu. He can breathe life into beings as easily as he can destroy evil. Vayu is said to be heroic, brave and mesmerisingly beautiful. Thank you for your continued wishes and blessings for Vayu and his family.”
