Shraddha Kapoor’s brother, Siddhanth Kapoor released on bail

Bengaluru (Karnataka): Siddhanth Kapoor, the elder brother of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor and the son of actor Shakti Kapoor, has been released on bail after being arrested on Monday on drug consumption charges. The young star kid was among four others who were arrested in Bengaluru whose drug tests came positive.  Bheema Shankar Guled, DCP East Bengaluru, said that Siddhanth and the four others will have to appear before the police whenever they are asked to.

“Siddhanth Kapoor's medical shows he had consumed drugs. We have already arrested him and are following the procedure. We will be sending him to judicial custody,” DCP East Bengaluru stated.

Siddhanth was detained by the Bengaluru Police from a party on Sunday. They were tipped off of alleged drug consumption at the party in a hotel at MG Road and hence raided it where they found Siddhanth among one of the attenders. Six tests including that of Siddhanth came positive from the party. The police stated that it was unclear whether they consumed the drugs before entering the premises of the party or after.

“Last night we got info that a party is going on and they have consumed drugs. We raided and detained 35 people. We didn't find any drugs on their person but found MDMA and ganja disposed of nearby. We will investigate CCTV to check who disposed of it,” DCP Guled said.

The police further added, “Hotel has been given notice, we have asked specific questions, they will have to answer. Bengaluru city police have declared war on drugs and this was part of it. Earlier in the month, we had conducted a raid, where 34 had tested positive for drugs.”
