SHO & reader of Mahila thana suspended after ACB action
Bharatpur: In a significant move following a raid by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at the Women’s Police Station in Bharatpur, District SP Mridul Kachhawa has taken strict action against the officers involved. Station house officer Bhawar Singh and Reader Jai Singh have been suspended and sent to the police lines for their alleged involvement in corrupt practices.
The raid by ACB at the Women’s Police Station led to the discovery of a substantial amount of money. Rs 4.30 lakh was found in the reader’s cupboard, while more than Rs 1 lakh in cash was recovered from the SHO’s residence.
Notably, the seized money was found in 15 envelopes, each labeled with specific case numbers, raising suspicions about the illicit funds.
Following the raid, SP Mridul Kachhawa sought approval from the police headquarters to transfer the entire staff of the Women’s Police Station.
