Shekhawat reviews Covid-19 situation

Jodhpur: Union Jalshakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat held a meeting of district administration, police and health officials at the Circuit House on Saturday to review their preparedness to tackle the resurgence of corona cases snowballing into a third wave.

Shekhawat pointed out that during the second wave, it was decided to upgrade the primary and secondary health centres so as to strengthen the healthcare system.

“It was to be done through people’s contribution without the government spending for it. But the Health department has not been able to do anything in this regard in the last 6 months,” he lamented.

“When people are ready to provide financial assistance, we should serve them,” the Minister added.
