Salman Khan granted gun license by the Mumbai Police amid rising death threats

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Salman Khan has been seeking all the protection he can receive ever since it was revealed that he is under the radar of Lawrence Bishnoi. After the gruesome assassination of Sidhu Moose Wala, Salman took necessary measures to protect himself and his family including increasing his security and opting for a bulletproof land cruiser. He had also applied for a gun license when he recently visited the Commissioner of Police at the CST police headquarters.

Now, Hindustan Times revealed that the actor has been issued a gun license for self-protection amid death threats. It was confirmed by a senior IPS officer that the license was printed, and, in accordance with the course of action, the file was sent to the zone 9 deputy commissioner for verification and criminal record check. It was further revealed that after the verification and background check were done, the license was proved immediately looking at the gravity of the threat.

It is reported that Salman's representative picked up the license from the firearm license branch at the police headquarters and handed it over after obtaining acknowledgement from the individual.

Salman Khan and Salim Khan had received death threats when the latter was handed over a letter while on his routine morning walk. The letter threatened both of them and allegedly warned about killing them like they killed Sidhu Moose Wala.
