A nationwide hunt to find the next Li’l Champ is going to begin through its online and offline auditions starting from the 6th and 7th of August in the city of Kolkata. Another exciting news for the budding singers is that Shankar Mahadevan, who has been an integral part of the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa franchise, has been roped as the first judge of the season. The ace singer and composer has judged several versions of the popular singing reality show; however, this is the first time he will be a judge on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs and he is pretty kicked about it. He will be seen mentoring and grooming young singers across India to help them create a name of their own in the world of music.

As Shankar Mahadevan mentioned, “I am excited to be a part of this iconic singing reality show. This is the first time I will be judging Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs, and I am looking forward to it.
