S Jaishankar, Kiren Rijiju, JP Nadda hoist national flag on 78th Independence Day
New Delhi: Union Ministers S Jaishankar and Kiren Rijiju hoisted the national flag at their official residences on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, while Union Minister JP Nadda hoisted the national flag at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in the National Capital.
Referring to PM Modi's speech, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in a post on X, "Prime Minister @narendramodi's address on India's 78th Independence Day focused on the aspirations of 21st century India. It was a message of energy, with the Nation first, that would meet the expectations of our youth. It was one of enthusiasm, with which India will engage and work with the world. It was with a spirit, with which we will achieve the goal of a #ViksitBharat by 2047.
Kiren Rijiju, who is the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, said in a post on X, "Hoisted the National Flag with great pride at my residence today. Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Indian brothers and sisters! As we celebrate our freedom, let's honour the sacrifices that have shaped our nation & commit to a future of unity & progress."
JP Nadda said, "Hoisting our National Flag at BJP HQ in New Delhi on the occasion of 78th Independence Day.
The Union Health Minister also referred to PM Modi's address from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
He said in a post on X, "Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji's address from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day strongly reflected India's progress and future aspirations. In his speech, he outlined a series of ambitious goals aimed at driving the nation's growth and establishing India as a global superpower across various sectors."
He added, "Reflecting on the progress made over the last 10 years, PM Modi ji emphasized the nation's achievements and reiterated the vision of 'Viksit Bharat@2047'. As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, this vision inspires us to continue striving toward a prosperous and inclusive future."
Earlier in the day, PM Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day.
