RUDSICO okays Rs 6.5 cr for synthetic track at Srinathapuram stadium

Kota: The synthetic track at Srinathapuram stadium, which will be constructed at a cost of over Rs 6.5 crore will soon take shape as RUDSICO has issued work orders for 400 mt trek.

With the efforts of Birla, the Union Sports Ministry had approved construction of a 400 meter synthetic track at Srinathapuram Stadium under Khelo India scheme. The purpose behind its creation was to provide facilities to the talented players to prepare themselves according to the format of national and international level competitions.

The Ministry had issued its approval in February last year and directed the Rajasthan Sports Council to float its tender in three months. However, it got delayed due to the second wave of corona and other reasons. But now RUDSICO has issued work orders for the construction of synthetic track and the work is likely to start soon.
