RPF and GRP seize 200 Kg silver at Jaipur rly station, accused flees

Jaipur: On Friday, RPF and GRP carried out a major operation at Jaipur Junction and recovered 200 kg silver. This silver was brought in 12955 Mumbai Jaipur Superfast. The RPF received information and checked the train when it stopped, wherein about 200 kg silver was found in 5 parcels.

When the RPF officials questioned the person who brought the parcels, he disappeared from the spot. GRP and RPF officials were seen avoiding speaking openly on the whole matter. At the same time, GST officials were also informed by GRP so that the bills presented could be verified with authenticity. No case of any kind has been registered in the GRP police station.

Notably, almost a year ago, around 116 kilograms of silver worth approximately 8.6 million INR was seized from the Bombay Superfast train at Jaipur railway station. The silver, then also booked as a parcel was subsequently confiscated by the Customs Dept.
