Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal to have an eco-friendly and sustainable wedding ceremony
Mumbai (Maharashtra): Richa Chadha is finally tying the knot with her long-time beau and Fukrey co-star, Ali Fazal. The duo will get married on October 6 in Mumbai followed by a grand reception on October 7. What’s more interesting about their wedding festivities is that the couple has decided to keep their ceremony eco-friendly and sustainable. They have hired a team to specifically follow the regulations of sustainability and provide an eco-friendly décor.
In order to achieve an eco-friendly décor, natural elements, recycled or repurposed wood will be used. During all the wedding functions, Richa and Ali are committed to reducing food waste. In addition to curating sustainable food experiences, they will work with experts who have experience creating these experiences. To minimise plastic waste and to use recyclable plastic as much as possible during the functions, all teams have been briefed.
Dia Mirza and businessman Vaibhav Rekhi were among the first ones to plan an eco-friendly wedding for themselves. The duo tied the knot in 2021 in an eco-friendly and zero-plastic intimate wedding ceremony and had even hired a woman priest for the rituals.
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal met on the sets of Fukrey in 2012 and soon fell in love. Alia proposed to his ladylove in 2019 after seven years of dating. But they had to push their wedding which was first planned to take place in 2020 due to the COVID-19-infused lockdown. After postponing a lot, they are finally tying the knot this year.
