Rhea Chakraborty got ganja deliveries from brother: NCB claims in chargesheet

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Rhea Chakraborty and her brother may have been out of jail but the case against them is still ongoing. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has claimed in their draft charge sheet that the actress used to get ganja deliveries from the co-accused including her brother Showik, which she then handed over to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

These claims were written in the charge sheet filed by the Central anti-drug agency last month in the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Court against 35 accused. It further stated that the accused got into criminal conspiracy around March 2020 and sold, consumed, and trafficked drugs in a group or individually for the “high society and Bollywood”. The consumption of ganja, charas, cocaine, and many other narcotic and psychotropic drugs without a valid licence, permit or authorisation within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

In light of this, the draft charges have been prepared in accordance with NDPS Act provisions including sections 27 and 27A (financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders), 28 (punishment for attempts to commit offences) and 29 (whoever abets or is a party to a criminal conspiracy).

The draft charges remained firm on their claim that “Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja from accused Samuel Miranda, Showik, Dipesh Sawant and others and handed over those deliveries to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.”
