REET: BJP MEMBERS FACE LATHIS ON WAY TO CMR

• Cops lathi-charged BJP members for climbing barricades
• Many protestors including Satish Poonia, Himanshu taken in custody

Jaipur: BJP Yuva Morcha members, protesting over a CBI inquiry into the REET paper leak case, were lathi-charged by the police on Tuesday while they were marching towards CM’s residence.

They were demonstrating under the leadership of BJP state president Satish Poonia, who was also injured in scuffle along with a dozen others.

The protesting members were stopped by the police before the Civil Lines gate. When they climbed the barricades, police chased them away with sticks.

Many protestors including Poonia, BJYM President Himanshu Sharma were taken into custody by the police.
