Ranveer Singh visits Mumbai police; says he did not realise it would cause so much trouble

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ranveer Singh found himself in some troubled water after his infamous nude photoshoot. The actor took up the courage to bare it all and bring forward to the audience, a more humane side of himself rather than the flashy get-up that he always hides behind. But his bravery was met with backlash and criticism and an FIR was filed against the actor. He finally appeared before the police at the Chembur Police Station between 7 AM to 9:30 AM to record his statement in the case.

According to a report by ETimes, the Simmba actor stated that he did not realise that the photoshoot would cause so much trouble to him. He also revealed that although the images are on the internet, he did not post the images. Ranveer was initially summoned by the cops a week ago but he asked for a time extension as he was out of the city due to prior work commitments.

Ranveer Singh recently posed nude for an international magazine called Paper which many declared as an ode to Hollywood legend, Burt Reynolds. The Striptease actor had laid unclad for the magazine, Cosmopolitan back in 1972. After the Paper photos went viral, many praised Ranveer for his bold move while several others trolled him. An FIR was registered against him last month at the Chembur Police Station by an NGO.
