Ranbir reveals he ignored Aamir Khan’s advice before debuting in Bollywood

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most bankable stars in India and has delivered some biggest hits in Bollywood. Now, the actor is making a comeback on the big screens in a never-before-seen avatar. Playing the double role for the first time, Ranbir will essay the role of a rough thug as he takes the lead in Shamshera. The actor is currently busy promoting his film with director Karan Malhotra and co-star Vaani Kapoor and has made some of the biggest revelations during his promotional interviews.

While interacting with a YouTuber, Ranbir revealed how he had ignored a piece of great advice given to him by one of the three biggest Khans of Bollywood – Aamir Khan. Ranbir stated that Aamir advised him to see the country before diving into acting as a full-fledged career. The Lagaan actor told him to travel around the country, see and understand the diverse culture of the country, visit small towns and travel by public transport such as buses and trains. Kapoor said that at the time he was 13-14 years old and did not take such a great piece of advice seriously. He said at the time he was like, “Yeh kya bol raha hai?”

Shamshera is directed by Karan Malhotra, known for his films Agneepath and Brothers. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles, the film explores the story of a bandit who fights for the freedom of his people from the Britishers. The film will release in theatres on July 22.
