Raju Srivastava's daughter, Antara pens an emotional thank you note for Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai (Maharashtra): After the king of comedy, Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21 after battling for his life for over a month, everyone in the industry mourned his death. It was a known fact that he held actor Amitabh Bachchan very close to his heart and rose to fame for mimicking the legend effortlessly. After his death, Bachchan Sr had revealed how he constantly kept checking up on Srivastava every day and even sent voice notes to cheer him.

Now, Raju Srivastava's daughter, Antara shared a heartfelt note on her social media thanking the star for being a support during such tough times. While sharing a series of photos of Amitabh Bachchan and Raju, a handwritten note and throwback pictures to when the family met the star, she wrote, "Extremely grateful to Shri @amitabh bachchan uncle for being there for us every single day during this tough time. Your prayers gave us an abundance of strength and support, which we will remember forever.

You are my father’s idol, inspiration, love and Guru. Since the first time dad saw you on the big screen, you have stayed within him forever. He not just followed you on-screen but off it also.

Raju Srivastava suffered a major cardiac arrest while exercising in the gym and was immediately admitted to AIIMS. An angioplasty was performed on him after which he was on a ventilator as he failed to regain his consciousness. He had slightly opened his eyes when an audio sent by Amitabh Bachchan was played to him but not enough to wake him up completely. He finally breathed his last on September 21 after battling for over a month.
