Rajasthan Deputy CM Diya Kumari visits Great Indian Travel Bazaar in Jaipur, lauds tourism sector

Jaipur (Rajasthan): Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari visited the 13th edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar at Novotel Convention Center on Monday.

During this, she took a tour of the place and got updates on the ongoing business meetings between inbound tour operators and businessmen in the tourism sector. Kumari lauded the continued growth in the mega inbound tourism mart and highlighted its importance as the first major tourism event of the new financial year, which is set to boost the state's tourism sector.

Additionally, she underlined the need for infrastructure development to match the increasing number of tourists and urged government involvement and cooperation from tourism businesses to strengthen tourism.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary of Tourism Department, Gayatri Rathod, Director of Tourism Department; FICCI Tourism and Cultural Committee Chairman Deepak Deva; Former President of FICCI and CMD of Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, Jyotsna Suri and Chairman of Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan Kuldeep Singh Chandela were present.

The International Mart is being organized jointly by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

The event is also supported by Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO).

There will be approximately 10,000 pre-scheduled, structured B2B meetings across the two days of the Mart. A total of 242 foreign tour operators from 52 countries and representatives of State Tourism Boards from 10 states are also participating in the event.
