Pushpa 2 to begin shooting in September; Sukumar working on final script and music

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Pushpa The Rise was a massive success and one of the few pan-India projects that sent the theatres into a frenzy. It was also the film that launched Rashmika Mandanna into a country-wide sensation. Fans could not wait to watch Allu Arjun spread his ever-glowing magic on screen in the second film, Pushpa The Rule. Now it seems that the shooting schedule of the film is nearing as Sukumar, is going through the dialogues’ final draft.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the director-writer is working rigorously to complete the script on time and start the shoot as soon as possible. “Sukumar planned Pushpa 2 puja ceremony last minute without Bunny and Rashmika because there was no auspicious date later for the next three months. And Bunny was in New York. He is back and now spending enough time with his family before he kickstarts shooting in the third week of September. Rashmika will join the team later,” a source close to the development said.

“Sukumar is working on the final draft of the script, and alongside, he is also working on the film's music. The music sittings of the film are already done, but he is working on them again with other team members,” the source added.

Pushpa, written and directed by Sukumar, revolves around a red sandalwood smuggling ring and Pushpa who rises above the ranks and becomes the biggest smuggler in the gang. The film starred Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh and an ensemble cast. The film is divided into three parts and after the sequel, the makers will work on the third film.
