Political and entertainment industry pour in their condolences after the death of comedian, Raju Srivastav

Mumbai (Maharashtra): The entire nation was praying for the speedy recovery of comedian Raju Srivastava who made several generations laugh together with his excellent comedic timing. However, the news of his death came as a wave of shock to his well-wishers and sent the nation into a state of mourning. Right from politicians to his comedian friends and actors, everyone paid their condolences to the actor and comedian and his family.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi shared how saddening his demise is for everyone. He wrote, “Raju Srivastava brightened our lives with laughter, humour and positivity. He leaves us too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people thanks to his rich work over the years. His demise is saddening. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”



India’s Home Minister, Amit Shah tweeted, “Renowned comedian Raju Srivastava ji had a unique style, he impressed everyone with his amazing talent. His death is a great loss to the art world. I express my condolences to his family and fans. May God give them the strength to bear his grief. Om Shanti Shanti.”



Defence Minister Rajnath Singh too condoled his family after the passing away of the comedy legend. He wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the passing away of renowned comedian, Raju Srivastava ji. Apart from being an accomplished artist, he was also a very lively person. He was also very active in the social field. I extend my condolences to his bereaved family and fans. Shanti.”



Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended his condolences as he tweeted, “Very sad to hear the demise of famous comedian Raju Srivastava ji. May God give place to the departed soul at his feet. My condolences to his family and all his fans in this time of sorrow.”



Calling Raju a person who made everyone laugh, Politician Jaya Prada tweeted, “Famous comedian Raju Srivastav Ji is no more with us. The person who always made everyone laugh became silent today and made everyone sad. Humble Tribute to him RIP #comedian”.



Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri called him a friend and brother while expressing his grief over his death. “My brother, friend and the country’s wave of happiness, Raju Srivastava is no more. I am deeply saddened. An artist like him is rarely seen, India hasn’t seen another like him. I pray that his soul rests in peace. My prayers are with his family and fans.”



Ajay Devgn too tweeted his condolences along with a picture of the comedian. He wrote, “In your lifetime you gifted us laughs & more laughs, on & off the screen. Your untimely demise makes me very sad. RIP Raju. Om Shanti. May the Almighty give your family strength in this hour of bereavement.”



Ex-cricketer Virender Sehwag wrote, “Om Shanti, Raju Bhai. A genuine comedian who made people laugh with clean humour and sharp observation. Condolences to his family and fans. #rajusrivastav”.



Sonu Sood shared his grief by tweeting a black and white picture of Raju Srivastav along with the words, “RIP Raju Bhai.”



Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar mourned the comedian’s loss as he tweeted, “Saddened to hear the tragic news of Raju Srivastav’s untimely demise. He made us all laugh with his amazing comic timing for so many years we have lost a gem. My deepest condolences to his family members & admirers. #omshanti.”



One of the closest friends of Raju Srivastava, Shekhar Suman too tweeted and mourned his friend’s death. He wrote, “Wat I was dreading for the past one month has happened.Raju Srivastava has left all of us for his heavenly abode.Devastated to hear the news.May God grant him eternal peace.#omshanti.”





Similarly, several other politicians and celebrities paid their condolences to Raju Srivastava who has left a hole in the entertainment industry. His place is something that can never be filled by any other comedian. His sense of humour, comedic timing and sheer humility captured everyone’s hearts. Rest in peace to the legend and condolences to the mourning family.
