Police arrest 4 persons for cutting dozen trees in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur
Patna: The Bihar Police have arrested four persons on the charges of cutting down dozens of trees near a major hospital in Muzaffarpur district.
As per reports, these trees were being felled and sold to timber traders for many months near Muzaffarpur’s Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH).
Tata Cancer Hospital’s head Dr Ravikant had sought the intervention of Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Sunday regarding the illegal cutting down of trees near the hospital.Tata Cancer Hospital is situated in the premises of SKMCH, north Bihar’s biggest hospital.
Pandey conveyed the complaint to Muzaffarpur police. Senior SP Jayant Kant then visited SKMCH and arrested four persons, including three women and a man. They were later sent to judicial custody after being produced in a local court.
