"PM Modi has emerged as a unifier in world politics": BJP leader CR Kesavan
Hyderabad: Drawing a comparison between the Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National Spokesperson CR Kesavan on Monday said that PM Modi is a "respected leader" worldwide who has elevated India's image while Rahul Gandhi "demeans India's dignity" in other countries.
Kesavan specifically criticized Gandhi's past associations during his recent trip to the US, where he "hobnobbed with people like Ilhan Omar, who are anti-India radical elements."
"PM Modi has emerged as a great unifier in world politics. He is a widely respected global statesman who has immensely enhanced India's prestige, power and stature...Such a stark contrast to LoP Rahul Gandhi. If Modi ji is a great unifier, Rahul Gandhi is a dangerous disruptor. Every time Rahul Gandhi goes abroad he insults India's honour and demeans India's dignity. When he was in America last time he hobnobbed with people like Ilhan Omar who are anti-India radical elements Kesavan said while speaking to ANI.
He then highlighted Modi's recent achievements, including a significant agreement with the U.S. to establish a national semiconductor fabrication plant in India.
"Narendra Modi ji during this trip has signed an agreement with America, which will bring to India for the first time ever, a national semiconductor fabrication plant, multilayer military fab by which our Indian Army will benefit and not only that, semiconductors made in India in a plan called Shakti will deliver ships to the US Army. See the difference," Kesavan said.
In his ongoing visit to the US, PM Modi outlined his government's ambitious plans for turning India into a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing and mentioned the BIO E3 policy aimed at making India a biotech powerhouse.
On Artificial Intelligence, the Prime Minister reiterated India's focus on promoting AI for all, stressing the ethical and responsible use of this technology.
The CEOs responded positively, expressing strong interest in increasing investments and collaborations with India. They recognized India's growing role as a global technology hub, driven by its favorable policies, thriving market, and growing talent pool.
The Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that PM Modi emphasised India's growth prospects, during the meeting with American CEOs.
"PM @narendramodi interacted with the top tech leaders and CEOs of USA, in a Roundtable hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering, in New York today," Jaiswal wrote on X.
In a separate bilateral meeting, PM Modi also interacted with Krishna Singh, founder and CEO, Holtec International. According to a social media post by Ministry of External Affairs, during the meeting PM Modi and Krishna Singh discussed Holtec's plan to expand manufacturing in India and the potential for boosting cooperation in the field of civil nuclear energy.
"Working towards green goals! PM @narendramodimet Dr Krishna Singh of Holtec International today in New York. They discussed Holtec's plan to expand manufacturing in (India) and the potential for boosting cooperation in the field of civil nuclear energy" said the post.
