Plant more trees under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ drive: CM

Jaipur: PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 111th edition of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme on Sunday. This was the first ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma joined the public and BJP officials and workers in listening to the PM’s address from CMR.

In his address, the Prime Minister said that the status of a mother is paramount in everyone’s lives.

“We cannot repay the debt of a mother’s love, but we can express our affection towards mothers by planting trees in their memory and honour,” he said. Modi called upon every citizen to plant trees under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Following the programme, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma encouraged the people of the State to actively participate in the campaign and ensure proper care of the planted trees.

Dy CM Diya Kumari posted on social media that this event has become a direct and meaningful medium of connection between the PM Modi & the masses, wherein, every statement inspires the society to work in national interest. BJP State President CP Joshi listened to the event at BJP State offfice in Jaipur. While talking to media, he said that PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme represents the thoughts of the people. Through this, the Prime Minister addresses everyone’s concerns.
