Samarjeet Singh Ghatge said, "People want to bring a change and I am confident on November 23 when results are out we will bring reformal growth in this constituency. Despite having ministries for 22 years no new school has been built in Kagal assembly constituency. We don't have digitalisation yet. In health care sector we do not have a Cardiologist in Kagal and people have to go all the way to Kolhapur for heart treatment and many people have lost their lives.
He further said that in the next 5 years he would concentrate on education, health care and employment generation if he comes to power.
"We are in the era of democracy not royalty. In 2019 I stood as independent and got 90,000 votes. BJP offered me MLC post but I did not want back door entry. I will win this polls following democratic process. MVA will get a good majority. NCP-SCP won 8 seats out of 10 seats with strike rate of 80 percent. People do not like the behaviour of spitting the party,"he added.
He further said that party chief Sharad Pawar has already stated that the aim was to win the elections and based on the number of seats of each party the leader would be decided.
"Belt in western Maharashtra is known for high recovery sugarcane. Cooperatives are doing good. Most of the sugarcane factories are doing innovative technology and going ahead. Market is not stable for jaggery production. People will vote for change in Kagal,"he added.
The Maharashtra assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with votes for all 288 constituencies to be counted on November 23.
The opposition MVA coalition, comprising Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Nationalist Congress Party (SCP), seeks to reclaim power in the state, challenging the Mahayuti alliance, which includes Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
