Pali: SHO, 2 more held for extortion of ₹2 lakh from Punjab bizman; search for 2 on

Pali: Police arrested 3 policemen including a Station House Officer (SHO) for threatening and and extorting Rs 2 lakh from a businessman of Punjab.

The search for 2 other policemen is on. All 5 policemen had been suspended already and 3 of them were arrested on Friday following an inquiry by a senior officer.

SP Pali Rajan Dushyant said that a Punjabbased jewellery businessman Surendra Kumar had come to him with a complaint.

Kumar said that he along with two others had been travelling to Sirohi from Ajmer on February 15 and his vehicle was stopped by some persons in two private vehicles. Five persons, including one in police uniform asked him to come and made him sit in one of their vehicles.
