Organ donation by braindead victim gives life to 4

Jaipur: In a profound act of generosity, the family of Govind, a brain-dead patient from Neem Ka Thana, chose to donate his organs, granting the gift of life to others.

The donation was carried out at SMS Hospital, where his heart and kidneys were successfully transplanted into critically ill patients at the Trauma Center. Meanwhile, his liver was transported via a Green Corridor to AIIMS Jodhpur for another life-saving procedure.

Dr. Manish Aggarwal, a senior professor at SMS Hospital, shared details about Govind Kumar Valmiki, a 29-year-old resident of Neemkathana near Sikar and son of Pappu Ram. Govind suffered a severe accident on December 24 and was admitted to SMS Hospital on December 25 in critical condition. Despite extensive efforts to save him, he was declared brain-dead on the night of December 29. Following his passing, a heart transplant was performed by a team led by Dr. Anil Sharma.
