Nushrratt Bharuccha claps back at trolls who degraded the actress for the posters of Janhit Mein Jaari

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Nushrratt Bharuccha is always known for picking up films with a moral to learn from. Even with something like Pyaar ka Punchnama and Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety, the actress gave some exceptional performances that are still etched in people’s minds. This time, the actress is coming up with a social comedy that will not only make audiences laugh but also preach about a taboo topic in society.

Janhit Mein Jaari starring Nushrratt Bharuccha released a series of posters for the promotions of her movie. Nushrratt who is shown as a condom salesgirl can be seen wearing a green saree while holding a loudspeaker in her hand. The poster had the tagline, “Aurat ke anaadar se sharam karo, condom ki baton se nahi (Be ashamed of disrespecting women, not of talking about condoms).”

Another poster shared by her showed her wearing a green top with the tagline printed, “Stalking karne se sharam karo, condom use karne se nahin (Be ashamed of stalking, not of using condoms).”

While another poster was a shot of her back pocket with a condom box inside it.

What was supposed to be the start of an awakening call for an open discussion on a taboo topic, turned out to be the playground for predators to troll the actress mercilessly. There were several who obscenely commented on her posts, degrading the actress and her dignity.

In a response to these comments, Nushrratt posted a video where she addressed this issue. “Generally, people post their best comments on Instagram. But so much is happening with me since yesterday that I thought that I should rather post my worst comments”, the actress said. The video then cut to screenshots of those vulgar comments displayed clearly, although, their usernames were blurred out.

“This is the belief that we want to change. That’s it. Aap ungli uthao, main aavaj uthati hu (If you raise your fingers at me, I’ll raise my voice against the injustice)”, the actress said as she signed off.

The actress’ bold move has garnered her a lot of praise and rightly so as no one deserves to be degraded by strangers the way Nushrratt was. Janhit Mein Jaari released their trailer on May 6, 2022. The film is slated to be out on June 10.
