NEW PARLIAMENT A ‘SHINING EXAMPLE’ OF MODI’S VISION!
New Delhi: The daylong inaugural ceremonies for the new Parliament building began with a havan on Sunday morning, followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi installing a gold sceptre or sengol in the new Lok Sabha chamber amid Vedic chanting by priests from Tamil Nadu and a multi-faith prayer. After performing puja, the PM installed the scared ‘Sengol’ in the Lok Sabha chamber, near the Speaker’s chair.
In his maiden speech in the new Parl building on Sunday, PM Modi said India’s new seat of power will usher in development not just of nation but also that of whole world. Modi said that certain moments in a nation’s journey become immortalised, and May 28 — unveiling of new Parl — was one of those days”. New Parl signified that India was shedding its colonial mindset, was on course to becoming truly ‘Atmanirbhar’,” PM said.
