Netizens disapprove Jacqueline Fernandez getting mobbed as she gets out of prison on bail

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Jacqueline Fernandez was granted bail by the Patiala Court in Delhi on November 15. The actor is one of the accused in the Sukesh Chandrasekhar Rs 200 crore extortion case. She was seen scurrying away from the crowd that had gathered outside the court, with her team of lawyers and police personnels.

A video of the incident started doing the rounds on the internet and Jacqueline could be seen visibly distressed with the situation. The actor was mobbed by journalists, camerapersons and bystanders who were pushing and bumping against each other to get a closer look at her. Jacqueline, her legal team and police could be seen struggling to make their way across the crowd.

However, netizens did not approve of the way the actor was mobbed and expressed their disappointment on several media pages. They compared the situation to the one actor Rhea Chakraborty had to face after her drugs case post the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. One netizen wrote, "This is wrong. I don’t think this is the way to hound someone." Another commented, "This has such Rhea Chakraborty vibes. The way she was treated in her case was sad."

Jacqueline Fernandez was accused in the extortion case after her close relationship with the prime accused, conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar came into the limelight. It was claimed that the actor benefitted from the illegal money and kept in contact with Sukesh despite knowing his truth.

She was summoned by the ED several times this year for the investigation and then was named accused in the supplementary charge sheet that was submitted earlier this year. She was previously granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakhs.
