Navratri is special for followers of Sanatan Dharma: GS Shekhawat

Jodhpur: Union Minister of Culture & Tourism GS Shekhawat, during a press conference in Jodhpur, said, “Navratri is a significant festival, simply defined in Sanatan Dharma.” He noted that the festival, lasting nine days, marks the seasonal transition and is celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm across India.

The Union Minister further emphasised the need to adjust diets and routines during seasonal changes, highlighting fasting practices by sages. He held a public hearing on rural issues, reviewing infrastructure concerns like waterlogging and road improvements.

On his way to Phalodi, he met party workers and also visited the holy site of Lord Jambheshwar.
