NATWAR SINGH PASSES INTO ETERNITY
New Delhi: The mortal remains of former foreign minister K Natwar Singh were consigned to flames in New Delhi on Monday. Singh died on August 10 at Vedanta Hospital after prolonged illness. On Monday, his body was kept at his Maharani Farm House in Dera for people to pay their last respects.
On Monday morning, his funeral procession was taken out from Dera Maharani Farm House to Lodhi Mokshadham which was attended by a large number of people.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, EAM S Jaishankar, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, son of former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh, his family members, former MP Ranjita Koli, MLA Nauksham Chaudhary, former MP KC Tyagi, former Bharatpur royal family member Deepraj Singh, a large number of chairmen, councillors, district council members from Bharatpur and Deeg district along with many local leaders gathered at the crematorium.
Meanwhile, Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi on Monday condoled the passing away of Natwar Singh in a letter to Singh’s wife Heminder Kaur.
