Naga Chaitanya is a big name in the south entertainment industry with some of the major hits under his name. The Majili actor is now going to team up with another respected name in south filmmaking, Director Venkat Prabhu, for a mega big project. Titled NC22, the venture will be a Tamil – Telugu bilingual film. The announcement has excited fans as it will be Chaitanya’s debut in Kollywood.
While speaking to a local media house, Venkat Prabhu revealed that the actor liked the narration of the script. He further added that the film will not be a remake and will have a fresh story. The director praised Naga Chaitanya’s Tamil oratory skills and also reported the actor to be his first choice for his hit film ‘Mankatha’, opposite Ajith.
The production house, Srinivasan Silver Screen which is producing the movie tweeted about the announcement with a series of pictures of the actor and the caption “This is gonna be special”.
It is rumoured that the film will mark the reunion of Naga Chaitanya with his ‘Oka Laila Kosam’ costar Pooja Hegde after seven long years. She is reported to be the female lead in the movie. Fans are excited about this development even before an official announcement has been made. It now depends on time to reveal whether fans would be left disappointed or will the movie mark another legendary collaboration.
