MURMURS IN OPPN OVER MURMU

New Delhi: Chinks are widening in the Opposition ranks in the run up to the July 18 Presidential elections. The Opposition parties’ presidential campaign has suffered many jolts with several non-NDA parties already pledging their support to NDA’s candidate Draupadi Murmu. The latest shocker has come from JMM, a dominant partner of UPA, that has announced its support for Murmu. In another development, Samajwadi Party ally Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) on Friday announced it will support Murmu. Earlier, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle Shivpal Yadav’s party also announced its support for the NDA candidate Murmu. Before that, BSP chief Mayawati too had declared her support for Murmu.
