Mouni Roy: Ranbir-Alia are magical both on-screen as well as off-screen

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Mouni Roy stole hearts with her portrayal of Junoon in the film, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva. Ayan Mukerji had previously confessed that although the role had begun as a cameo, seeing her dedication and performance as Junoon, Ayan had to write her as a full-length character. While the cast had largely promoted the film, Mouni was seen absent from many promotion events. As a result, fans did not get a chance to see her off-screen chemistry with the duo. But the actor recently sat down with Pinkvilla to talk about her experience with Ranbir and Alia.

Revealing that they are magical both off and on screen, Mouni said, “I am the biggest Ranbir-Alia fan. So, it was an opportunity for me to work in the film. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it. It was so much fun working with the two of them. I never imagined being a part of this film.”

She added that Ranbir and Alia are humble in real life. They would never leave before making sure everything is in its place and be present even during the rehearsals and lighting work. “So, when I see them like that to the kind of work that they have done in the film, I feel that they are magical both on screen as well as off-screen,” she said.

Mouni Roy portrays the role of the antagonist of Brahmastra who is a staunch follower of Brahma Dev, the main villain of the Astraverse. The actor can be considered one of the few television stars who successfully made it to Bollywood. Brahmastra is not Mouni’s first big screen role but she has also played Akshay Kumar’s wife in the sports drama, Gold.
