Mouni Roy answers on being called the “main lead” of Brahmastra instead of Alia Bhatt

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Mouni Roy is on her ladder to success and her recent victory with Brahmastra is a witness to that. The actor was immensely praised for portraying the role of Junoon with conviction and dedication and even stated that she was one of the best highlights of the film. One fan of hers went as far as to say that her role in the film was more important than that of Alia Bhatt. In a recent interview, Mouni reacted to the claims and thanked her fans for loving her work.

Mouni stated that there is no need to create controversy through such questions. She revealed that she believed that her role was hers and tried to deliver her best. Mouni added that it feels great to be recognized and loved for her work. Mouni mentioned that Junoon has quiet confidence and power which the audience received in a way that she never anticipated.

Answering about how she feels to be called the main lead of the film and carrying it on her shoulders, Mouni dismissed saying that it is everyone’s film. But she further added that it feels good to see her work be received in a positive light. It is rather the hard work of several years that is paying off, she claimed. Mouni also stated that it seeing the fruits of her labour is really amazing. She mentioned that every single character was important to make the film what it is today and one cannot negate anybody’s contribution to the film.
