MODI’S VIKAS EXPRESS ON FAST TRACK!

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone & inaugurated and dedicated to the nation 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore via video conferencing in New Delhi on Monday. Lakhs of people connected with the ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Railways’ event from 500 railway stations and 1,500 other venues.

Modi said that today’s programme is a symbol of the new work culture of New India. “Whatever India does today, it does it on unprecedented speed and scale. We dream big, work tirelessly to realize them. This resolve is visible in Viksit Bharat Viksit Railway event”, he said.

Modi specially congratulated Yuva Shakti of India for today’s development project as they are the real beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat. Modi said a decade ago, the average annual budget of railways was Rs 45,000 crore, which has now increased to over Rs 2.5 lakh crore. He observed that in the last 10 years, facilities which were once far-fetched have now become a reality and gave the example of the Modernized Semi High-Speed trains like Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, NaMo Bharat, the fast pace of electrification of rail lines, and cleanliness inside trains and on the station platforms.
