Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation of over 35 projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi on Friday. These projects include multiple roads, a cooking gas bottling plant, a milk processing unit, and a silk fabric printing common facility centre for weavers. For the textiles sector of Varanasi, Modi laid the foundation stone of NIFT.

He also laid the foundation of a new medical college and the National Centre of Ageing at Banaras Hindu University. Modi inaugurated Sigra Sports Stadium Phase-1 & Rifle Shooting Range.

Modi hit out at Rahul for his remarks, ‘I saw people lying drunk and dancing on roads of Varanasi” and said ‘Yuvraj’ of Congress’s “Shahi Parivar” is taking out his frustration on youth of holy city,’ adding, ‘Youth of Kashi and of UP are working hard to make it a developed state.’
