Modi is the mascot of BJP in polls: Mathur

Ajmer: Rajya Sabha member and state BJP’s former president Om Prakash Mathur was on a day’s visit to the city on Wednesday. While speaking to the media, he tried to evade the question of viewing former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s birthday celebrations as a show of strength of her faction, saying everyone reserves the right to celebrate his birthday in his own way.

When asked again, Mathur explained that it should not be viewed as a show of strength because it has no meaning as everything is decided by the Parliamentary Board of the party.

There is no point in discussing such things as only Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to be the mascot of the party in the state elections next year, Om Prakash Mathur further added.
