Modi aims to make Mumbai best global fintech capital
Mumbai: PM Narendra Modi inaugurated projects costing over Rs 29,400 crore at NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon. He performed “bhoomi poojan” ceremony of two ambitious underground twin tunnel projects in the city. One of the twin tunnels is part of the ambitious Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) pegged at a cost of Rs 6,300 crore and is being constructed by BMC, while the other project is ThaneBorivali Twin Tunnel project, which is being executed by the MMRDA.
“The development projects launched in Mumbai today will enhance connectivity, significantly upgrade city’s infrastructure and greatly benefit its citizens,” he said, adding, my vision for Mumbai is to make city a global fintech capital. Modi also took a jibe at Oppn, saying those ‘spreading fake narratives’ are enemies of development.
