Mission 2024: BJP far ahead of oppn in election preparations
Lucknow: Even though the general elections are still two years away, the BJP camp has already started entering the electoral mode, while there has been no flurry of election preparations in other parties so far.
BJP strategists have not only chalked out the blueprint to make Mission-2024 a grand success, but the implementation of its initial segment has also been initiated. To realize the promises made in the election manifesto ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra 2022’ for the betterment of the backward and downtrodden sections, the Yogi government has instructed the officers to work on priority basis. In order to establish social harmony and win the trust of the deprived sections, recently, CM Yogi and his cabinet colleagues reached the homes of the Dalits and interacted with their families and had food with them. During this outreach drive, special attention was given to those 42 districts where the population of Dalit communities is more than 20 percent.
A fortnight-long ‘Eight years service, good governance, security and poor welfare’ campaign has been conducted by BJP from May 31 to June 14. During this, Garib Kalyan Jan Sabha was organized in all 98 organizational districts. Through the ‘Report to Nation’ programme, the report card of the achievements of the Modi government for eight years was presented to the public. On the other hand, the SP is still struggling to overcome the internal squabbles, Priyanka Gandhi reached Lucknow recently to decide the future roadmap for the Congress, but returned prematurely due to personal reasons. Apart from a few meetings and tweets, BSP chief Mayawati has also not been seen taking any concrete steps regarding future preparations.
Political experts believe that the BJP is well known for its advance preparations. PM Modi has repeatedly stressed upon the party’s campaign to connect voters up to the booth level. For the Lok Sabha elections, the party has again started implementing an elaborate roadmap, while the rest of the parties are yet to take any initial steps in this direction.
