Meetings of the Houses should be as many as possible: Joshi

Guwahati: The 8th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (India Region) Conference attended by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi in Assam Legislative Assembly, Guwahati concluded on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media persons in the concluding day, Dr CP Joshi said, “Houses should extend the time of the meetings of the Legislative Assemblies, it should be as many as possible.

Minimum meetings should be fixed. The House should also have a meaningful discussion on youth and other issues.” Joshi also said, “Legislative responsibility is more in parliamentary democracy therefore it is necessary to increase the working hours of the Houses.”
