Maruthi’s supernatural action-thriller with Prabhas not on hold; will start shooting for in November

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Prabhas is one of the most bankable stars in the Indian film industry and has several projects lined up for the upcoming year. As reported earlier, the actor has joined hands with filmmaker Maruthi and producer DVV Danayya to bring forward a supernatural action-thriller. It was confirmed by Danayya that the film will begin rolling in September but further reports also claimed that the project had been put on hold for a while.

According to a recent report by Pinkvilla, the film is very much happening and will go on floors this year, Maruthi informed. “November onwards it will start. There is no delay, it is a very big film. He (Prabhas) is doing two-three projects and is very busy. So according to his dates and comfort, we have to start. So, in November we start. We will be shooting in India, nothing abroad. We haven’t finalised the exact locations though. (The film is) definitely happening. We are doing a Puja also this week,” he said.

He further added that although they have not fixed their female lead yet, they are planning to approach Bollywood actresses for the part.

Additionally, Prabhas is already scheduled to star in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar with Shruti Haasan and Nag Ashwin’s Project K which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. As of mid-2023, he is also slated to start shooting for Siddharth Anand’s stylish action-thriller backed by Mythri Movie Makers. He also completed filming for Om Raut’s Adipurush with Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon.
