Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh): Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty said on Tuesday that very good arrangements have been put in place for the people at the MahaKumbh underway in Prayagraj.
She is on a three-day visit to the Maha Kumbh.
Murty told ANI, "I had made a vow for three days, I took holy dip yesterday, today I will do that as well, and tomorrow again. My maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, grandfather, none of them could come - that is why I have to offer tarpan in their name and I am very happy..."
She also wished a long life for the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
"Arrangements are very good here. Police under the leadership of Yogi ji have done so much good (work) for the people. May God him a long life, " she added.
Earlier, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, during his visit to the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj also lauded the Uttar Pradesh administration for their exceptional management of the Mahakumbh gathering.
Highlighting the scale of operations, he stated that the organization and execution of the Maha Kumbh Mela should be studied by management institutes and corporate houses as an exemplary case of efficient administration.
He said "The administration of Uttar Pradesh, especially the police personnel and sanitation workers, considering the way millions of people come here, and the manner in which the arrangements are maintained, in my opinion, is a subject of study for management institutes and corporate houses as well".
He further emphasized the contributions of the police personnel and sanitation workers, whose tireless efforts make the event a success.
"In my opinion, this level of management is a subject of research for management institutes. There is nothing greater than receiving the blessings of Maa Ganga," he added.
Maha Kumbh is one of the largest and most significant religious congregations in the world. The key 'snan' dates left are: January 29 (Mauni Amavasya - Second Shahi Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami - Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
Uttar Pradesh police deployed over 10,000 personnel, including local police and paramilitary forces for the event's security. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed "water ambulance" stationed at Sangam to ensure the safety of devotees.
The Maha Kumbh began on January 13 and will continue until February 26.
