Tata Motors told a news outlet that the launch of Tata Gravitas will be in the last quarter of the financial year 2020-21. Harrier's Gravitas is a seven-seater vehicle and was originally planned as a festive season launch before the COVID19 epidemic. HBX crossover is to come after this. However, no specific time limit has been specified for this.
The Gravitas is 62mm longer than the Harrier. Step roof and revoc rear section are included to accommodate the third row of seats. The section of B-pillar is aft long and box-like.
There is also a light light lamp on the back and a bump on the roof. The third line has done this for headspace. There will probably be no change in its width and wheelbase.
According to a report, the new SUV is expected to come with the same 2.0-liter FCA-sourced Multijet diesel engine, Tata calls it Kriotech. In this case, it seems that the more powerful 172PS and 350Nm versions will be introduced. The Harrier has a 6-speed manual engine and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, it is also expected to come in the Gravitas.
Gravitas should come with many more extensive features including electronic parking brake and lighter upholstery shed. The second seat of the new SUV is also expected to feature a Captain Seat six-seater version.
When this vehicle is launched in the market, then there will be a direct competition with MG Hector Plus and Mahindra's XUV500. The vehicle was expected to be launched by the end of the year but it could not happen due to the coronavirus epidemic. Now it is targeted to be launched next year. Although the exact time of launch has not been stated.
